Learn how to draw from observation with an experienced Artist. Avoid missing out important techniques or concepts and have someone coach you to be the best you can be.

This course is well structured, comprehensive and objective. There will be a series of hands-on assignments with detail instructions. Through the exercises, we will investigate things like how to prepare the tools and materials, how to use them effectively, how to control the tone like musicians would with music and much more.

Some key facts:

  • Instructions will be in English.
  • A series of assignments will be given, they considered completed once the participant demonstrated mastery of specific concept or technique.
  • Artworks/assignments will need to be properly photographed for submission.
  • Communication will be conducted through the Internet (chat, email …etc.)
  • An estimated total of 300 hours will be required to complete this program.
  • You can spend as much or as little time per week according to your availability.
  • The fee is CDN$60 per month (or MYR180 per month for Malaysian Residence).

  • A painting course with this drawing course as prerequisite is being considered.

What do you bring?

  • First and foremost is the willingness to learn and to work hard. This is not a “drawing is fun” program, there will be challenges and disappointments. But at the end of the day, I believe you could be pleased with the skill that you will have and the quality of the artworks you could produce.
  • You will need to provide all the tools and materials, I will give you a list of what is required.

Examples of assignments:
